Life sciences commercial pack
The Life sciences commercial pack, in early access, sets Rainbook up for pharma, biotech and medtech teams, with HCP profiles, call planning, contracts and formulary status.
Early access
This pack is in early access. It is installable and supported today, and it carries the "Early access" label in the catalogue and on its work items. We are finishing it with a design partner in early 2027, and everything you set up now carries straight into the generally available version.
Life sciences, government contractors and legal packs are early access.
Who it is for
Commercial teams in the US and EU selling to hospitals, health systems, group purchasing organisations and the healthcare professionals who work with them. The pack covers B2B commercial engagement and has no patient fields; Rainbook isn't built to hold patient data.
It installs whole on every Rainbook edition, the free tier and Jira Free.
How it models your market
- Healthcare organisations (HCOs, IDNs and GPOs) are Accounts, set by Account category.
- Healthcare professionals (HCPs) are Contacts with Contact category HCP, and their affiliation is the account they belong to.
- Calls are Meetings, or notes on the contact.

Views, metrics and health
Saved views: HCPs with no call in 90 days, KOLs by tier and Contracts ending in 120 days.
Metrics for Ask and Reports: Call coverage (HCPs who got their planned calls this quarter), Calls by product, Contract value by kind and HCP spend by specialty and KOL tier.
Account health weighs call coverage of the affiliated HCPs, contracts ending within 120 days and formulary status moving down, alongside support and bug signals.
Rules and AI
- Contract renewal (on): a renewal is created 120 days before a contract ends.
- Coverage gap (off until you turn it on): every week, one follow-up for each HCP below their call plan, for the contact's owner.
The call note summariser turns a call note into the product discussed, the HCP's questions, commitments and the next step.
Coming with our design partner
Planned for the generally available version in early 2027: transfers of value as their own records, with HCP spend calculated from them, state spend-cap rules, and the CMS Open Payments annual file built in your browser from the NPI and licence fields.
Get started
Install the pack from Settings › Packs and add the demo data to explore it with fictional organisations and HCPs. See Industry packs for how install, updates and removal work.
Teams that need controls beyond Jira's own permissions can add the optional Regulated pack.
